product creation process:

It's so easy to create products with wipasnapa with our easy, intuitive process that guides you step-by-step.

Put simply, the process works like this:

If you're so inclined, read on for more detail:

  1. choose a product: we hope you enjoy browsing around our Print Centre and find the product information helpful. Once you've chosen your product, click on the 'create' button to get started. If you are new to wipasnapa, you will be asked to create an account at this point - it only takes a few seconds. If you are already a wipasnapa member, you will be asked to log in at this point.
  2. upload a photo: when you click the 'create' button, after joining or logging in, you will be taken to your wipasnapa archive. You can either select a photo to print from this page, or use the 'upload' button to upload a new image.
  3. edit photo, add text: Next you land on the create product page. Here you can edit your photo - zoom in, zoom out, reposition. You can use the 'slider' control that you'll see on the screen, or your keyboard to zoom (+ and - keys) and reposition (arrow keys) your image. You do this whilst previewing your product in real time. Depending on the product you chose, you may also be able to add text to your product at this point and, if you've chosen a folded card, you will be presented with a second step to create the text, font & colour for the inside of your card. Once again, you preview as you go.
  4. preview and buy: A final preview screen lets you check the detail of the product you've created. You can return to fix anything - choose a different photo, change the photo positioning, edit any text. Once done, the product is added to your cart and the step-by-step checkout process will have your product paid for and sent to print in no time. Find delivery information here.

canvas prints:

Our canvas prints are professionally printed on high quality artist stock, then stretched and wrapped around a quality wooden frame. Each canvas comes with hooks and string for instant hanging.

When you create a canvas print in our store, the image preview will show the full canvas size as well as the fold marks where the print is wrapped onto the wooden frame. The wrapped print gives a professional finish so, when you are creating your canvas, ensure your photo goes right to the edge of the print area. At the same time, ensure the part of your photo you want to display is inside the fold marks. See this illustration:

transform your photos!

Take an average photo and make it look spectacular on your chosen photo product, by using our new photo transformation feature. Look out for this symbol on product pages to identify which products have this feature in place:

Here's an example:

Card with original image: 3 versions of card, using photo transformation options for this card:

Here's how it works: simply start creating your chosen product and following the usual steps:

  1. Click 'create' button on your chosen product page
  2. Select a photo for your product
  3. On the edit photo page, you'll see this panel. Click on the various transformation swatches to immediately see how your own photo looks in the preview panel on the page. The last image in the list is the photo original.
  4. Make your selection and complete the product create process. That's it!

paper stock selection:

A beautiful card needs beautiful paper stock - heavy weight, premium quality and suitable for digital printing. So we have assembled a selection of papers for our photo cards, invitations, thank you cards, birthday cards and baby announcements that will ensure a quality result every time you purchase.

quick tip: In most cases, we leave the choice of paper stock to our customers, as we understand that different users will seek different effects in a card. However, in our product descriptions, we always recommend the most appropriate paper stock, if we think for that particular design it will have a significant impact on the final product. So remember to read the product description before you make your selection.

anything! Despite being uncoated, photos print beautifully on this simply divine paper stock. If you like tactile, matt effects, this is your choice.

100% recycled

matt, with a little more texture than the premium uncoated option, and good whiteness for a 100% recycled card

300gsm - despite technically being lower weight than the other two options, the nature of this paper's bulk means it still gives a heavy weight result.

photos with small to medium sized photos in them, and for anyone who is seeking a quality 100% recycled option. Photos will print beautifully on this paper, but a slight texture will show through.

environmental credentials:

satin coated: This is a partly recycled paper - FSC Mixed Source using 50% virgin fibre, 35% pre-consumer waste and 15% post-consumer waste. It is produced using elemental chlorine free pulp and is ISO14001 environmental accredited.

premium uncoated: This is an FSC Mixed Source paper using 100% virgin fibre, which means that while it does not contain recycled content, the pulp comes from well-managed forests and controlled sources. It is produced using elemental chlorine free pulp and is ISO14001 environmental accredited.

100% recycled: As it's name suggests, this is our star eco-option. We love it because it lets us have our cake and eat it too - it's green credentials are superb, and it looks and feels like a truly premium, uncoated card stock with a lovely subtle grain.

  • No virgin fibre is used. Manufactured with 65% post-consumer and 35% pre-consumer waste, it uses papers that would normally go to landfill
  • It's list of eco-accreditations is heart but not earth-warming: Blue Angel, Nordic Swan, Austrlan & EUGROPA, with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in use, and manufactured using elemental chlorine-free pulps.
