Johnny Carter has been teaching kids to swim at Sydney's Palm Beach for fifty eight years now....the plaque at the beach says fifty but its dated 2001 so the math is pretty easy. Two years ago I shot him in action (see my earlier post) and last week in Sydney I went back to see him again...its just a wonderful sight. His energy is amazing and he's still calling all the boys jimmy and all the girls maggie.

These are the stunt women of ABC's Make it or break it, all ex UCLA gymnasts. It is so much fun to work with people who can do this stuff. My nephew was once a promising gymnast and it was astonishing to see an eight year old throw himself around like a toy, but he gave it up to play footy. Shame.
