cookies

Cookies might sound scary but they don't need to!

Put simply, a cookie is a parcel of text that our server sends to your internet browser. Each time your browser accesses our server, the parcel of text is sent back to us.

wipasnapa only uses cookies for two reasons, using two types of cookies:

  1. Session cookie (essential). This cookie is needed to allow you to stayed logged in as you move from page to page within the password protected areas of wipasnapa. When you log out or close the browser this cookie is destroyed (in your browser and on our server);
  2. Log In cookie (optional). This cookie is purely for your convenience. It simply remembers your log in details within your browser. So this means that, each time you return to wipasnapa using the same browser on your usual computer, the email address field in the Log In form will already be filled out for you. It is safe to refuse this cookie - you will just have to retype your email address every time you log in.
